If you are an entry-level stylist with three years of experience or less, we’re here to help you raise the bar.
As a Gila Rut associate, you will support the team by assisting senior stylists, while helping to keep the salon running smoothly. You’ll devote one day per week to attending focused education in-house from master stylist educators. When not in class, associates spend their time gaining invaluable experience on the floor working with high-end clients, elite stylists, and supportive mentors. In this role, every minute is an opportunity to learn from six-figure stylists and how they got there. You can also boost your paycheck with bonus opportunities from retail sales.

FIVE STEPS TO UPSKILL YOUR CRAFT
We set the road map, you set the pace. Build your confidence and skill level on the floor in as little as five months! At this stage, we invest $10,000 in your personal education to ensure a strong foundation in technical skills and business practices that will help you establish a long-term successful career.
Our weekly education classes combine hands-on training and virtual workshops. The program is broken down into five modules:

FIRST MODULE: FOUNDATIONS Format: 6 classes of on-boarding and foundational training Focus: Familiarizing with the systems and operations of daily duties |

SECOND MODULE: STYLING Format: 6 classes of instructor-led, hands-on learning with mannequins and models Focus: Blow-dry styling techniques and product and culture knowledge |

THIRD MODULE: TECHNICAL 101 Format: 6 classes of instructor-led, hands-on technical cut or colour training on mannequins Focus: Building a clear understanding of design or colour theory and a strong technical foundation while performing services on models as you progress in your learning |

FOURTH MODULE: INTERMEDIATE Format: 6 classes of instructor-led, hands-on technical cut or colour training on models Focus: Learning the modern classics and the trending haircuts and color applications |

FIFTH MODULE: ADVANCED Format: 6 classes of instructor-led, hands-on technical cut or colour training on models Focus: Learning advanced techniques and trends |
MAKE THAT PAPER
Our compensation program is designed so you can thrive and achieve financial success while loving what you do. Earnings are made of three components: guaranteed hourly rate, gratuities and retail bonuses. This position is held for 6-12 months on average.
Because each team member has a degree of control over their own income, the below table is an average of Gila Rut associates’ annual compensation. Our in-salon business education includes training on natural ways to sell retail, add-on services and other commission boosters so your income truly is in your hands.

Part of our teams’ individual success comes from a well-balanced work schedule with flexibility and productivity in mind. We have part- and full-time positions available so you can create custom schedules to optimize your professional and personal life.
Our locations are open seven days a week and closed on major holidays. With our doors open from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on weekends, you can work on your time, your way.
